A follower of Christ

    Being a follower of Christ in todays world isn’t easy. Of course, Jesus never promised it would be easy. I’m starting a relationship with a very good friend of mine, and it has really got me to thinking about how we, as Christians, should act in a pre-marital dating relationship. The question that plagues many a person is “How far can I go?” Our society tells us to just go for it. If it feels good it must be right. Well the bible tells us differently. It shows us that we must “Abstain from every form of evil.” (1 Thess 5:22) If pre-marital sex is a sin, then it makes sense that kissing & other forms of foreplay are just “forms” of that evil. It is clear what we must do in this situation. Now does this mean we cant dance? or hold hands? or sit close? NO! We must be careful, though, that we do not rationalize what truely is a sin in this instance.
